This incredible 6 day adventure combines the thrill of a classic Tanzanian safari with the relaxation of Zanzibar’s pristine beaches. Start your journey in Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Then, explore the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, home to the Big Five and stunning landscapes. After the safari, unwind in Zanzibar, where turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, and rich Swahili culture await. This trip offers the perfect balance of wildlife adventure and tropical island relaxation!
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our tour guide will greet you and escort you to your lodge for an overnight stay in Arusha Serena Hotel.
After breakfast, a drive from Arusha across Maasai land to Tarangire National Park for a game drive. The journey takes approximately 2 to 3 hours. Tarangire has different attractions like the Silale Swamp, vast grasslands and Baobab trees, Poacher’s hide baobab tree; one of the oldest trees in which poachers used to hide, a diverse range of bird species, large population of elephants and the Tarangire river which is the park’s lifeline during dry season. Later, you will have a picnic lunch then continue with the game viewing to see more wildlife species. After, you will proceed to Karatu for dinner and an overnight at Tloma Lodge adjacent to Ngorongoro forest.
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will leave the lodge and head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a Crater Tour. In the Crater, Lake Magadi is one of the crater lakes located in the centre of the world’s largest unbroken Ngorongoro Crater. Water flowing into this lake from different streams attracts rhinos, buffalos, antelopes, zebras, wildebeest, hyena, bird species and many more. Flamingo are the only birds that feed directly from alkaline waters of this lake. Later, you will have a picnic lunch then proceed with the crater tour. In the evening you will head back to Tloma Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay in Karatu.
On an early morning, you will head to Arusha for your flight to Zanzibar for your 2 nights stay in the Zanzibar Islands, Africa’s tropical paradise with breathtaking sceneries. Zanzibar Island offers a laidback beach life on the sandy beaches with palm trees surrounded by the azure blue Indian Ocean. You will have a choice in a large variety of activities like the colourful culture and history in Stone Town, Spice tour through spice plantations of pepper,
ginger and cloves, Kitesurfing at Paje, Kiwengwa and Nungwi, Mountain bike, Mnemba Island tour, Prison Island that reserves giant tortoises, Safari Blue, visit Jozani forest, Snorkeling and scuba diving at the reefs. You can also explore the amazing coral reefs and swim along tropical reef fish. All these activities are available for you to choose during your stay in Zanzibar.
After a spending a lovely time on the Islands, you will take a flight back home.
